The Lava Lounge was a bar/music venue located on Lange Kruisweg 66a in Veldhoven, The Netherlands. They often featured rockabilly bands and promoted the shows with handbills around the region. I kept some of handbills that were posted in the one of the world’s best bars, La Folie, in Eindhoven. I lived in Eindhoven in 2004 and 2005 and frequented La Folie. The owners Grace and Willie were really amazing people. Willie had a colorful past and was a character. His wife Grace though petite and beautiful was a complete badass and not to be messed with. It appears that La Folie is still open in Eindhoven.
